grazie, ma sembra che il pacchetto python-devel non esista (ho 
aggiornato i repo).

Il comando che mi hai suggerito non restituisce nulla.

rpm -qip python-devel restituisce 'error: open of python-devel failed: 
No such file or directory', ma e' possibile che abbia sbagliato io (rpm 
non mi e' famigliare).

apt-get install python-devel restituisce 'unable to locate package'.

Ho guardato la lista ufficiale online dei pacchetti per la mia distro e 
sembra che Python.h non sia da nessuna parte. E' possibile che l'abbiano 
rimosso???? Sono su ubuntu 17.10.
