pare di si, ma secondo me fai prima e sei più sicuro in un altro modo.
reinstalli windows normalmente nella partizione dove era già prima
terminata l'installazione avvii il pc con super-grub-disk che trovi in 
rete fai partire ubuntu col menu di supergrubdisk
avviato ubuntu dai grub-install /dev/sdx e hai reinstallato grub come 
era prima.

anche se col modo che hai detto tu è più divertente!!
