vero è un termine un po ambiguo
io mi riferisco alla macchina "madre", quella fisica che contiene le VM
in questa conversazione ho (credo) sempre inteso
host = macchina fisica
guest = macchina virtuale

ext3 nella macchina host (fisica)
ext3 nella macchina guest (virtuale)
nella macchina virtuale vedevo tanti begli errori di failure sul disco
e qualcosa tipo:
EXT3-FS: barriers not enabled
con successivo remount
cercando un po' sulla rete ho trovato che l'errore sopra (macchina
fisica) nel 2008 era un bug del kernel che aveva un timeout troppo basso
per alcuni dischi

ma il mio kernel è un .32 del 2011 (invecchiato solo 1 anno ma già
ottimo)
ho effettuato un test così:
e2fsck -c -f -p -v /dev/sda1
non ha trovato alcun errore
ho anche lanciato il test smart:
smartctl --test=long /dev/sda
anche questo non ha evidenziato nulla di particolare
ti copio l'output, magari qualcosa ti salta all'occhio (non sono molto
esperto a leggere il report S.M.A.R.T.)
