Dunque (grazie a Luca) ho trovato il programma.
Si chiama fsck. E da questi reiserfsck.

Ho provato a digitare:

$ reiserfsck --rebuild-sb /dev/sda (da live)

Che dovrebbe ricostruire i blocchi dati e mi chiede conferma dicendo che
se necessario ricostruira' i blocchi dati ma a conferma comunicata nulla
accade.

Lo stesso con:

$  reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/sda (che dovrebbe ricostruire il file
system...).

Immagino che cio' voglia dire sia tutto integro!!

Ma allora perche' con:

ubuntu a ubuntu:~$ sudo mount /dev/sda /mnt/
mount: you must specify the filesystem type

E con:

ubuntu a ubuntu:~$ sudo mount -t ext3 /dev/sda /mnt/
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda,
       missing codepage or helper program, or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

Ed ovviamente dmesg | tail mi dice:
