Per l'esattezza, sono cinque anni. Tanto serve a Microsoft per creare
un sistema operativo quasi identico al precedente più qualche finestra
svolazzante.

Se ci pensate, nello stesso tempo sono uscite due/tre versioni di
MacOS X e un'infinita serie di distro Linux, e almeno tre versioni
mainstream del kernel. Persino FreeBSD è riuscito ad andare dalla 4.x
a (quasi) la 7.x...

Sono be più di echi lontani. Aziende ed enti pubblici in alcuni casi
sono passati in massa a Linux. Crederete che passeranno altrettanto in
massa a Vista? secondo me avverrà soltanto con il "naturale" ricambio
dell'hardware, nessuno se lo andrà a comprare o farà la fila come
accadde con Windows 95, o accade ogni volta con il nuovo Mac OS X, o
con la stessa trepidazione con cui gli utenti Linux aspettano una
nuova versione della propria distro.

Ho dei seri dubbi circa questi "oculati" investimenti e temo tu sia
molto male informato. L'opinione corrente nel settore è che il
marketing di Vista sia stato un flop o per lo meno che le esternazioni
di Bill Gates siano state un boomerang.

Newsweek che intervista Bill Gates:

he is getting ready to boil Steve Jobs' bunny. First off, Bill, after
having spend an amount exceeding the GDP of several sovereign nations
- $500 million - to launch Vista, don't you think you could have spent

Questo è quello che dice Bill. Ma sei sicuro che tutti lo seguano così
pedissequamente come credi?

Direi 1999

cose che gli altri SOGNANO a dir tanto, inclusi i cari utenti Linux
;-)
