ci sono delle indicazioni nell'RFC 1036 ("Standard for Interchange of 
USENET Messages"). Ora, prima che qualcuno dica "ma riguarda USENET e 
non le mail" faccio notare che l'estratto qui sotto parla di Subject, 
Reference e Message-ID, gli stessi 3 header che sono usati da tutti i 
MUA moderni per organizzare in thread le email. Si evince che le 
indicazioni qui sotto sono perfettamente applicabili e sensate e che e' 
cosa buona e giusta che anche i MUA le seguano. Per cui, inviterei 
l'autore del MUA usato da Luca (X-mailer: WebMail 1.0 by Luca 
Bertoncello 2001-2002 (lucabert a lucabert.com)) ad implementare queste 
linee guida, visto che, per tutti i santissimi dei, santi, demoni, 
angeli e anime maladette, BASTA FARE UN CAZZO DI SEARCH & REPLACE! 
(funziona anche sui binari)

  This field lists the Message-ID's of any messages prompting the
     submission of this message.  It is required for all follow-up
     messages, and forbidden when a new subject is raised.
     Implementations should provide a follow-up command, which allows a
     user to post a follow-up message.  This command should generate a
     "Subject" line which is the same as the original message, except
     that if the original subject does not begin with "Re:" or "re:", the
     four characters "Re:" are inserted before the subject.  If there is
     no "References" line on the original header, the "References" line
     should contain the Message-ID of the original message (including the
     angle brackets).  If the original message does have a "References"
     line, the follow-up message should have a "References" line
     containing the text of the original "References" line, a blank, and
     the Message-ID of the original message.

PS: in alternativa, si potrebbe (ri)cominciare a rispondere "aggiorna il 
kernel/pacchetto" ad ogni sua richiesta di aiuto :)
