Per me, é cosa interesantísima, é molto cómoda (user friendly), instala 
e depois se non ti piace, saca il cd e inmediatamente estai di volta al 
tuo distro preferido, mientras tanto, tu imparari cose nuove. Buona 
herramienta (tool) de propaganda para Linux. Aumenta tus conocimientos.

Fatto: tutta configurazione, archivo (file) creatto, usando el "Live CD" 
se borrará (will be erased, se non está instalado al hdd) al momento de 
salir de Knoppix, non pode scaricare (there is no space nel cd, it is 
chock full of software as it is), non ho "user password", tutto questo 
solo funciona cuando tú fai instalato al hdd.

Depois de parlare con Paolo, saqué mi CD vechio de Knoppix (3.1) e lo 
inserte´ e dí reboot, para jogar (play) con ele, usando icewm e fluxbox. 
Knoppix usa un cursor bellisimo IMHO, chiamato "artwiz-cursor" la ponta 
é finísima, como una freccia.

Así que depois de voltar a Libranet...

apt-cache search artwiz-cursor
(to find out if the Debian repository had it, why not, knoppix é debian)

Sí! allright, shit, i'm a genius! <sarcasmo> :)

apt-get install artwiz-cursor

login/logout e presto, Luigi hai cursor nuovo.

altri...your house can burn down and you won't notice because you are 
busy playing with them. :)

nella prima pantalla (screen) digita (type) F2 e aparece una lista de 
"cheatcodes" (questa lista e' solo una parte), nil site de download para 
Knoppix existe un achivo piccolo con tutta la lista.

Esempio:

Ricorda, Knoppix instala KDE e tutto piú en Tedesco por default, cosa 
que non e' problema, en KDE, cambia questo sin problema. Peró para 
evitar questo e si non vai a instalare KDE, fai il cambio dil principio.

Nel mio caso, depois de F2 e della parola "boot:"
scrivo:

"knoppix lang=es knoppix wheelmouse knoppix desktop=fluxbox"
Finito. Enter

knoppix instala tutto en espagnolo e il teclado (keyboard) también en 
espagnolo. Problema resuelto. Per te: "knoppix lang=it", simple huh?
It recognizes my 3 button mouse, and gives me fluxbox como window manager.
Tutto questo escritto en forma horizontal e separato por un espacio.

Press Enter e en 10 minuti (no estoy exagerando), tu estai navegando 
nella internet, se non instala, leggere il errore che te dá, reboot e 
busca nelle cheatcodes what's missing, la lista de cheatcodes e' lunga. 
Se non posso te aiudare allora go to the newsgroups of Knoppix or the 
IRC (#knoppix) pero questo e' in caso extremo :)

Peró, quasi nunca sucede, Knoppix reconoce quasi tutte schede (cards?) 
io nunca me preocupo por video card (nvidia 4 MB) or resoluzioni del 
monitor(Samsung 1024x768), la scheda de rede (Realtek) para il DHCP, 
tutto é reconociuto automaticamente e prontísimo, e' increíble.

La prima volta, io non sapevo niente, and I hit Enter, terminé con KDE 
(lentísimo), con un keyboard en tedesco, hijo de puta! heheheh! LOL!

(freenode.net), nil canale #knoppix, ho incontrato la mia gente, gli 
geeks mi hanno consigliato cosa fare, questa gente sapere il suo

of stupid, simple questions rapid-fire, they couldn't believe I didn't 
know about cheatcodes and yet installed the distro in German, they told 
me i was good material for debian, being sarcastic i'm sure. No importa, 
conseguí la informazione que quería.

Questo me dió una idea dil reconocimiento dil hardware, insertei il cd 
de nuovo, e adesso, apreté F2 (informazione del IRC) e scrivi alcuni 
delli cheatcodes, boom! no problem, i was on the net, knoppix en 
spagnolo, with a spanish keyboard, I played around for an hour with it, 
and the third time, I tried the "expert" installation option, just to 
see how hard it was, it was a piece of cake compared to Woody in the 
past. I love to screw around with it, after all, nothing is going to 
happen to my box.

In piú, allá afuera, existe un mondo de distros basati en Knoppix: Iran 
e India sono gli ultimi en sacar distros, Gnoppix (solo Gnome), Morphix 
(4 versioni diferentes, Games, KDE, Gnome, LightGui,), Kurumin 
(Braziliana, en portughese, buonisima) gli braziliani sono molto cómici, 
niente e' sagrado, Kuromin instala como cualquier knoppix, mai se il suo 
computer é molto vechio e lento, tu vai al terminal fai un "su" e como 
root scrive: "ta muito lerdo" (it's too slow) reboot e cuando volta el 
default wm é fluxbox invece di KDE, abiword invece di OOo, gedit invece 
di emacs, firebird invece di mozilla, sylpheed invece di Kmail, 
gnumeric, XChat, e' veramente light. Mai si cambia de opinione, e vuoi 
voltare a KDE, allora scrive nel terminal: "ni tanto asim" (not that 
much), reboot e presto. LOL!
Questa gente sono sólidos informaticamente.
