[Linux-Biella] Tar e permessi

Ciao a tutti,
scusate l'ignoranza ma ho devo fare una domanda banale...

Ho alcuni file sql ed alcuni script .sh.
Ovviamenti gli script sono chmod +x.
Ora voglio fare un tar.gz dei files ed essere sicuro di mantenere i
permessi.
Come devo fare ?

tar cvfz foo.tar.gz file1 file2 file3 file4
o 
tar pcvfz foo.tar.gz file1 file2 file3 file4
